The best known Latin American pyramids include the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon at Teotihuacán in central Mexico, the Castillo at Chichén Itzá in the Yucatan, the Great Pyramid in the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan, the Pyramid at Cholula and the Inca’s great temple at Cuzco in Peru.

Though Tenochtitlan’s Templo Mayor is the only Aztec pyramid with extant ruins, you can still visit other sites around Mexico that provide a window into Aztec culture.

No, unfortunately you can‘t enter the pyramids. over a year ago. only outside, they are actually fenced in.
The Kukulkan Pyramid, also commonly known as El Castillo, is the most impressive building in the Chichen Itza archaeological site, and one of the tallest in all of the Mayan architecture. Unfortunately for visitors, no, Chichen Itza Pyramid is not allowed to climb.
Can You Climb Uxmal? Unlike Chichen Itza, climbing some of the ruins in Uxmal is allowed and encouraged. These ruins are extremely well-preserved and the crowds are minimal compared to what you‘ll find at the ancient sites near Cancun. Unfortunately, climbing the Pyramid of the Magician is not allowed though.
